Tavira is one of the Algarve's most beautiful cities
with 27 churches, not all opened, remanents of the old wall, a Moorish castle, the Pego
do Inferno (scenic waterfall) and two rivers travelling through it. The
city lies on two sides of the river Gilão that flows lazily through out the
town. Its beaches are very long, up to 10 km with sugary white sand.
Unofficial nude beaches are hidden away on the far limits of the normal very long beaches. Often one has to walk 2 or 3 kilometres, 20 minutes, to come across the nude beaches. Usually there are no restaurants or facilities. But you have fine sandy beaches almost to yourself.

The Capital, Lisbon gets all dressed up for the Christmas Season and this is a wonderful time to visit. Stores and restaurants glisten with beautiful decorations and festive music. The main squares are adorned in fabulous twinkling lights awaiting Christmas visitors.

Walking along the dunes in the early summer, you can see dozens of different wildflowers and flowering bushes growing rapidly covering the dunes. Without direct access to fresh water, it is amazing to see them thrive.

Dramatic & stunning with a huge expanse of soft sand with crashing waves, the view will quite simply take your breath away! Mainly under-populated, so you always have the beach to yourself practically. Lots of rocks & cliffs to explore too. There are good facilities, with parking & a restaurant/snack bar close by, the restaurant offers delicious local dishes.
