Walking along the dunes in the early summer, you can see dozens of different wild flowers and flowering bushes growing rapidly covering the dunes. Without direct access to fresh water it is amazing to see them thrive.
At the west end of the walk on a windy day you will see dozens of kite surfers dancing in the breeze. Most have wet suits on, because although it is 30ºC plus in the day, the waters can still be cold, especially if you are diving down into them and up again. Most of the kite surfers are men, because a lot of upper body and leg strength is necessary, to hold against the stronger gusts of wind.
